THE COURAGEOUS CLASS Q&A: KENNAShare
What message do you want to share with the world?
There is a value in art and its ability to influence the world for good. Artists can be the arbiters of change, and art and cause are inextricably linked.
How do you LOOK GOOD, FOR GOOD?
I think we all live by example. In order to imbue positivity on the world and others, you have to present yourself with class and dignity. What gear you rock, can be a signature of who you are.
What people and/or events inspired you to do the work that you do today?
I’ve always created my art to make Michael Jackson mad and make Bono proud. Michael Jackson was an innovator and my goal is always to have done something he wished he would’ve done. Bono is an actionist and my goal is to take action at the level he would be impressed by.
What advice do you have for people trying courageously to change the world?
They say take one step at a time, but I think it’s okay to take 10 when you need to. Be bold, be generous, but be smart. And look after yourself first. Make sure that you are well enough to give because it doesn’t help anybody if you give more than you have and end up with nothing. Sustainability is key.
How can others get involved with your community?
My musical career and the causes I am connected to are fueled by you at kenna.com
