Taking a moment to ask real New Yorkers real New York questions.

Taxi or Uber?

Can’t beat the convenience of Uber.

NY Times or NY Post?

NY Times.

Central Park or Hudson Park?

Hudson Park for a run, Central Park for a walk.

Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?

Whole Foods.

Starbucks or bodega coffee?

Neither! I’m now a matcha-only girl. Chalait, Fika, Maman, and Butcher’s Daughter are a few places I go.

The Hamptons or Upstate?

Down the shore with my friends!

Worse tourist trap: Magnolia Bakery or Times Square?

It’s really a tie.

Tap or bottled water?

I’ve grown skeptical of plastics—tap or boxed.

Street meat or a slice?

Neither! I feel like Pret-a-Manger is just as ubiquitous now. That’s my standby when I need something ASAP.

THE BUTCHER’S DAUGHTER
FIRST SNOW OR FIRST SPRING DAY?

I live for spring fever! Some of the best days in the city.

WOULD YOU RATHER: A WALK-IN CLOSET OR OUTDOOR SPACE?

Give me the closet, please.

SHAKE SHACK OR CORNER BISTRO?

Shake Shack.

MORE MAGICAL: THE STREETS AT DUSK OR THE STREETS AT DAWN?

Dusk. That’s when I want to be walking through the western edges of Chelsea and the West Village.

ROOFTOP DRINKING OR PARK PICNIC?

Park picnic. I relish any opportunity to kick off my sandals in the grass.

MUSEUMS OR GALLERIES?

Museums.

BROOKLYN BRIDGE OR WILLIAMSBURG BRIDGE?

Williamsburg Bridge is much more fun to walk.

BOOZY BRUNCH OR LATE-NIGHT DINNER?

Late night dinner. Day drinking and me are not on good terms.

SCARIER THOUGHT: A FALLING AIR CONDITIONER OR FALLING INTO AN OPEN SIDEWALK CELLAR?

Falling air conditioners! Though I’m probably more likely to fall into the open cellar as I stare at the sky looking for the ACs.

MORE LIKELY TO: PEOPLE WATCH OR DOG WATCH?

People!

THE ANGELIKA OR LINCOLN PLAZA CINEMA?

Lincoln Plaza.
