I like the look of these shoes. Needed something simple and stylish for the office. Unfortunately, these shoes squeak all. the. time.
I thought the squeak would weak-out after a few uses, but it's still there after months of use (I generally alternate between the brown and black versions of this shoe).
Sad. I was hoping to find a shoe that would meet my needs without announcing my arrival.

Same as the other reviewers. They're great for a couple months but they wear out insanely quickly. I've had much better luck with the more expensive Merge style.

The style of these shoes is nice, especially for wear in the office. That's why I purchased them. However, the are NOT real leather and have a very cheap feeling. They are also fairly uncomfortable to wear throughout the day. Seems like Kenneth Cole quality has taken a nose dive in the past few years. The last pair I had were black leather slip ons...real leather, and lasted for about 8 years before the sole wore out. I will be returning these ASAP and switching brands.

I bough both the black as well as the brown version of this shoe.
The biggest problem with this shoe is that while it is advertised as "shiny leather oxford" only the lining in the upper is leather. The outside of the upper is a leather substitute: it is a plastic in the polyvinyl chloride family. What this means to you is that it will not breathe, making the shoe smell badly sooner than leather, and the surface can not be cared for like leather. After a few months is begins to discolor, lose its finish, and/or crack.
Bottom line: if you wear them regularly, they look great for ~2 months and then they are garbage.
Second bottom line: these shoes are not leather. They are plastic PVC.
This is something I would expect from Payless Show Source, not the Kenneth Cole brand which I have loved for year and years.
