ROLE MODELS FOR CHANGEShare
FOUR HIGHLY ACTIVE MEMBERS OF OUR COURAGEOUS CLASS ENTER THE S.D.G. MEDIA ZONE.
On a Tuesday afternoon in late September, while Midtown bitched and moaned about the epic traffic jam surrounding the United Nations’ east-side headquarters, four members of our Courageous Class—two current and two alums—made their way through the chaos to participate in a panel discussion about their work to further the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
The panel they participated in, which took place in the aptly-named SDG Media Zone, was called Role Models for Change. Which is exactly what these four are. Each was there to educate and advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals they’re especially passionate about.
Our panelists were on point, and the talk was smart, energetic, and ultimately hopeful about the prospects of change in the face of multifarious odds, obstacles and opposition. Social media channels lit up with dispatches from the event. And our partners at the UN Foundation considered it a major success.
