We care about what we stand in, what we stand for, and what we stand on, and we are determined to leave a smaller footprint on the road to a sustainable future.
With sustainability in mind, we took our bestselling styles The Kam, The Maddox, and The Liam and created a collection called Resource. We reassessed the components of each shoe to see where we could use overstock materials, recycled rubber grindings, and 100% recycled laces.
THIS BOX HAS A REAL CIRCULARITY TO IT.
We’ve partnered with GIVE BACK BOX to reduce waste and donate items to those in need.
MATERIALS + PROCESSES
We are continually looking for innovative, preferred materials that are eco-consciously developed.
We are researching and addressing cultivation, extraction, dyeing, processing, finishing, and how every stage of production affects the social and natural landscape of where it’s manufactured.
SUPPLY CHAIN + BY-PRODUCTS
Where possible, we seek to trace materials back into the supply chain to verify they have been cultivated and processed in ways that minimize our environmental impact. We are seeking opportunities to use materials that are by-products that would have gone to waste.
REUSE + RENEW + REIMAGINE
Whether it’s through using recycled, upcycled or recyclable materials, using salvaged overstock, creating products that can be safely biodegraded, or utilizing second-hand services, we are seeking to maximize the lifecycle of every product we can.
DEMANDING A BETTER SUPPLY CHAIN.
At Kenneth Cole Productions, we strive to maintain high standards of business ethics and respect for human rights throughout our worldwide operations. We take supply chain responsibilities very seriously and are committed to conducting business in an ethical, lawful, and responsible manner. With this, we have developed internal systems to help increase visibility and support sustainability throughout our global operations.
We seek out suppliers that share our commitment and incorporate responsible practices in their operations. Therefore, we evaluate our suppliers (including analyzing the social and political environment in the countries where they operate) through the Elevate platform and otherwise to address various risks, including labor exploitation, health and safety, environmental impacts, human rights and legal requirements. We also maintain active dialogue with our licensed partners to ensure consistency of our values in our licensee’s supply chains.
All factories are periodically inspected, and KCP has established audit processes in core and auxiliary factories throughout the year to verify continued compliance. We work with our suppliers to develop strong alliances dedicated to responsible business practices and continuous improvement.
Select KCP Associates are required to complete annual trainings to aid them in identifying and addressing human rights issues including corruption & bribery, forced labor, and responsible sourcing.
KCP’s Corporate Social Responsibility, Legal, and Sourcing teams hold monthly risk review sessions to analyze and address any vendor or supply chain concerns.
IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO HELP THE PLANET.
